I passed a sign for this garden on the entry road I was taking to Devil's Den. After I finished my dive and exploration of Devil's Den (which you can read more about in post under the scuba dive tab), I turned right into this secret garden.
So Cedar Lake Woods Garden is on privately owned property, but the garden is open to the public. The area was discovered by Dr. Raymond Webber in 1991. And after years of renovating and landscaping this limestone quarry, it opened in 2014 public as a non-profit.
Just like when you walk up to Devil's Den, there are lots of kitty friends to greet you. There are two trails options marked by colored railing. The blue trail takes around the garden at the highest level for a birdseye view.
The red takes you through the garden to islands and over bridges.
The swans are beautiful, but unlike the kitties, they are not friendly.
One of the islands has a picnic table and a grill. I am not sure if the grill was working, but definitely a place for a scenic picnic.
If you are out and about in Williston, Florida, add a stop to this secret garden.
